Two Moose by Bow in 15 minutes!!! Amazing

For two hunters to get two moose in one trip is a great trip. For two bow hunters to get two moose in a trip is even more of an achievement. And for those two bow hunters to get two moose on a bow within 15 minutes of each other, is unheard of!

But that’s exactly what happened with brothers Jeff and John Shull travelled to Ganglers and Hunting North this September. Hunting with Hunting North guide John T, on the third day of their hunt they came into an incredible scenario. With John T on the call, a magnificent bull came hot to the call.  Here is Guide John T’s recollection of how it all went down-

I had both the hunters positioned downwind 50/75  yards from the tree stand I was calling in .

We’ve been calling for two hours, then heard the first grunt from across the bay as it was coming to us.

The moose swam the bay and as he got closer, I just reconnected with him, calling short calls. He came right past me.

I then stopped calling, trying to let the moose find me, looking for a cow.

It then walked right by me straight into the next clearing, where John shot him after I  called to him and stopped him in his tracks.

I then heard another bull in the distance. I started calling again and that one came in. Johnny and Jeff stayed in position. 15 minutes later the bull crossed the bay and got on this other bull’s tracks,  followed them right to John and Jeff.  I called again one more time and stopped him cold. John did a frontal shot. Great heart shot.  

Game over. Two bull moose down in 15 minutes, both by bow. How can it get much better ?
