Our point of departure is Thompson, Manitoba. Thompson is a 1 1/2 hrs flight from Winnipeg with daily flights by Calm Air. Winnipeg is easily accessed with over a dozen flights a day with Delta, Westjet, United, and Air Canada. Thompson is also accessible by road with a two lane paved highway from Winnipeg. Allow 7 hrs. driving. You need to arrive Thompson the day before your trip.

The Days Inn (Thompson) and the Lakeview Signature (Winnipeg) offer a special rate for Ganglers Hunting North guests. Usually, one overnight layover is required on the trip North (Thompson) and the trip South (Winnipeg).
Guests arriving in Thompson by air will take a cab to their hotel. The next morning, take a cab to the Wings over Kississing Airport base and arrive one hour before departure.
Early the next morning, take a cab or drive to the charter aircraft for your flight to the lodge. (parking is available at Wings or McCreedys Campground) Charter flights are located at the opposite end of the airport at Wings over Kississing and usually depart 8:30 AM.
Departing the aircraft you will be greeted warmly. Once off the plane, you can walk the path to the lodge or floatplane if you need assistance we can transport you there by golf cart or ATV.
Upon arrival, you will be directed to the floatplanes and your flight to your camp.

Charter aircraft heading to Gangler’s will be able to utilize our new certified GPS approach. This addition enables aircraft to land safely at lower weather limits and better ensures guests making important air connections. Gangler’s is one of the few in Northern Canada with this important feature. A costly procedure, part of our dedication to your full satisfaction.
For guests traveling by private aircraft, our airstrip is 5400’ long by 100’-150’ wide with a clay/gravel/sand top. There are GPS coordinates for landing. For those requesting hardtop, aircraft can be landed at Lynn Lake (150 miles away), Thompson (240 miles away), and/or Winnipeg. Guests arriving by private plane can alternate trip days provided it fits within our scheduling
Weight limits on all flights are restricted to 85 lbs. per person including carry-ons. Extra luggage may be left behind and guests are responsible for any additional fees. All camps have laundry facilities. Beverages are available on-site. Personal checks and cash accepted at all camps, credit cards also at the main lodge. Guest traveling to our hunt camps can wait at our main lodge until notified that their flight is ready to depart. Full changeover usually takes around 3 hrs.
All guests should depart the lodge by 1:30PM and be back in Thompson by 3 PM for flights to Winnipeg later that day. Do not book departure flights out of Thompson until after 3 PM and Winnipeg the next day. Please allow for weather delays as Fall weather can be unpredictable.
