Transportation
Exclusive air charters from Thompson MB to North Seal River Lodge, landing on our private 5400′ runway. Thompson is accessible by highway from Winnipeg or scheduled airline daily.
We operate two caribou camps in the Manitoba tundra, within 10 miles of the Nunavut/Manitoba border.
Both camps are based on sizable lakes straddling the Manitoba and Nunavut border and sitting on two major migration routes as they funnel down from the Nunavut calving grounds. They sit on the edge of the treeline and offer a great mix of terrain and cover, excellent for bow hunters. From here, we have 16′ boats with 20 hp outboards plus boat access to other lakes, offering even more area if needed.
This great hunt is designed to be a combo with Central Barrenground caribou, ptarmigan, wolf and great fishing. The Kaminuriak herd numbers over 290,000 animals and is considered the healthiest herd in North America. Tags are limited to 500 per season for the entire herd and Hunting North exclusively limits the two camps to 8 hunters in one, 6 in the other. Hunters are allowed to take one caribou and we are allocated our licenses, there are no draws.
